So Garrett and I finally got our little underwater world put together. We now have a 14 gallon nano reef tank (saltwater). We are so excited! We got the set up from a guy who had a few tanks and wanted to get rid of one as is. So we got all the live rock, one of which was growing some sweet mushrooms (a type of coral). He had been keeping a few Hermit crabs and an Emerald crab in there as well. So we started with those and then once the tank had cycled we bought a clown fish and an anemone. Our clown fish is named Juice. We can't get over how much this little guy LOVES his anemone. He plays in it all day. When we first brought him home he started in a different part of the tank than the anemone and he wouldn't come out of the corner to look around the tank because he was too scared. We'd seen him playing around in the anemone at the store, so we knew he'd love it if he saw it, but he stayed in the corner for about 5-6 hours. When he finally snuck out far enough to see the anemone the reuinion was awesome! He just jumped in that thing and didn't come out for almost 24 hours. I don't think there is a happier fish in the world - for sure not in the reef (because he's the only fish we have right now). Anyway, he's lots of fun. For all of you who know that I'm a huge puppy fan, this little clown fish has taken care of my puppy obsession for now - he's just as fun to watch, if not more, and Garrett loves him too, so it was a great compromise.
If you don't believe me that fish are as cute as puppies, watch the video. :)

He looks cute but I can't really see him! Does he come out?
That is pretty dang cute! I wonder why he loves being in it so much. Maybe he has a killer itch:)
Well that's both of us substituting something else for puppies. Check out our cat website!!! By the way I love you brown hair!!

ok, we loved this and thought juice was so funny...just teach him how to fetch and it would be just like a puppy, but better...no hair, and no drool.
