go yankees

i paid top dollar for a polish sausage today. i laughed and forked it over. at least the ticket was free. the 'priceless' part was 'watching-the-yankees-beat-the-redsox-at-their-last-home-game-meeting-of-the-final-season-of-yankee-stadium-before-it's-torn-down.' i love that about baseball - every game offers something that verges on making history.

it was a beautiful game - it had all the magic elements. the highest-paid star couldn't perform (they say 'a-rod' is spanish for 'ralley killer') while the no-name sub-in had the best base hit of the game. the bleacher crowd was rowdy and vulgar (even though they've been cut off for the past two yrs. NYPD and the yanks agree that it's just better that way). best part: the bleacher creatures do roll-call with the players, coordinatedly yelling at each one until he shows some love.

no way, you were at that game? i think it's wrong to tear down the stadium, i think you should start an 'anti-tearing-down-the-stadium-protest-group' and start a rally...

Wish I could have been there, too. Remember when we went to the very first game ever at Texas Stadium? Those are landmark events you don't forget. Go Yankees!

Wahoo! You guys are in NY now?!? Do you have your cute Meg Ryan "You've Got Mail" hair again Megs? Where are you working now? I can just see you living the NY lifestyle! How fun.

We were actually just in NY this last week. We went to the first game of the Yankee vs. Red Sox series - where they lost - but just by 4. Yankee Stadium is awesome! So loud and so much energy... and the guy next to us said it was a boring game. Wow! Our Giant's and A's games are boring in comparison. Go Yankees!

A very disappointing post to say the least. To express joy at the Yankees beating the Red Sox gives me great insight into the depravity of Garrett's soul. The only thing that would be better than the tearing down of Yankee Stadium would be the tearing down of Yankee Stadium with the entire Yankee organization inside. Evil needs to be stomped out wherever it is and in whatever form it comes.
